How to Dress to Impress at Your Interview
Turn off your cell phone before you walk into an interview.
Don't bring anything extra to a job interview, such as a bottle of water or a cup of coffee. That will make it look like you're too much at home.
Dress up for a Skype interview. Even if your interviewer doesn't mention it, he will be impressed if you look sharp for your chat. Even if he can't see your bottoms, wear nice pants or a skirt too, so you feel more formal.
Be aware of current styles and trends. Things such as lapel width or the cut of your suit may vary by season. Take note of what professionals in your industry are currently wearing.
Dress professionally even if you're having a phone interview. This will make you take the interview more seriously.
